From Katy Perry to Madonna: Pop Divas Can’t Get Enough of Jeremy Scott for Moschino

Jeremy Scott has always had knack for reimagining the quirkiest sides of popular culture, and that tongue-in-cheek approach to fashion has come through in spades since he took the reins at Moschino in 2013. With a new trailer for his forthcoming documentary making the rounds on the fashion blogosphere—and a shopping outpost of the Italian house which opened in SoHo just last night—that cultlike following is likely to grow, not least amongst his ever-increasing circle of stylish celebrity friends.

And you only have to take a quick look back on some of his best red-carpets moments for Moschino to know that that dedicated fanbase includes many of the biggest names in the music world: The McDonald’s logo he referenced on the runway for fall 2014 has been worn by superstars such as Katy Perry and Rita Ora, while the fall 2015 graffiti motif was sported by Zendaya and the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna. With less than a month until the MTV Video Music Awards, it’s likely that the designer has a few more unexpected red-carpet hits up his sleeve.
